Choosing between tax, investment and EMI tools
01
Start with taxable income, not CTC
The income-tax tool takes ordinary taxable income after eligible deductions rather than a full salary CTC figure. It models a stated new-regime tax-year scenario and a possible Section 87A rebate, but excludes special-rate income, TDS and surcharges beyond its stated scope.
The step-up SIP calculator lets monthly investments increase annually and compares projected corpus with inflation-adjusted buying power. The NPS tool is a retirement savings scenario: it does not promise an annuity rate or decide exit/withdrawal eligibility.
An EMI calculator estimates level monthly payments at a user-entered interest rate. A prepayment comparison keeps EMI unchanged and shortens tenure. Banks disclose a Key Facts Statement and APR that may include fees missing from simplified mathematics.
The GST calculator reverses inclusive prices and displays a numerical CGST/SGST or IGST split. It does not decide whether the supply is interstate or intrastate, automatically identify HSN/SAC rates or calculate input tax credits.
